The second World Superbike championship event in Italy at Misano

The second World Superbike championship event in Italy at Misano

After the trip to the United States that saw Davies's double podium, the Ducati riders are ready to battle it out on their home track.

In fact, like Imola, Misano is also considered a friendly track, situated just 100 km from the Borgo Panigale factory and used by Ducati for testing. It is also the home track of Marco Melandri who enjoyed his first victory riding the Panigale precisely in Misano last year, and who this year will certainly want to make the most of his familiarity with the curves of the Romagna circuit.

Home race also for Michael Rinaldi who returns to the track after having skipped Laguna Seca, since the Racing - Junior team competition schedule only includes participation in the European rounds. The fact that Michael was born and resides just a few kilometres from the track is one more reason to do well, and considering that up to now his championship has been decidedly positive he could once again impress with a performance that is worthy of the best in the race.

The Misano race comes just two weeks before the date that all Ducatistas are impatiently waiting for, and will therefore act as a delicious appetiser for World Ducati Week scheduled for 20-22 July, also in Misano. Among the many activities planned for the event, all the Ducatistas will be able to meet the Ducati riders and watch the Race of Champions that will feature Ducati MotoGP and Superbike riders competing on Panigale V4 motorbikes in a unique and unmissable race.
